The lebanondiet.org archive (2001–2022)

Before it became a supplement guide, lebanondiet.org was for two decades the website of Lebanon’s association of nutrition professionals — first the Lebanese Dietetic Association, then LANFS, then the LAND academy. These pages restore what the site published, so that references from journals, universities and directories still lead to the material they cite.

The archive pages are restored from the Internet Archive in their original English and condensed for reading. The association and the academy are not connected with the current site, and members’ personal data (phone numbers, addresses) were not transferred.

Three names, one association

  1. 2001–2005 — Lebanese Dietetic Association (LDA). The first site: the association founded in 1970 and adhering to the IUNS, its services, executive committee, membership terms and short science notes for members.
  2. 2005–2014 — Lebanese Association for Nutrition and Food Sciences (LANFS). About 400 members, a WHO Collaborating Centre at AUB (2007), the first e-newsletter, elections, and national and international conferences.
  3. 2015–2022 — Lebanese Academy for Nutrition and Dietetics (LAND). The last name: an executive committee with professional profiles, a dietitians’ directory, health tips, FAQ and events up to 2018.
